Tom Gero
Tom has been turning bowls as a hobby for the past 5 years.
He started with a piece of Mahogany wood left over from his
mantle and his friend, Mark, showed him how to turn a slab of
wood into a beautiful bowl for his wife.
Tom enjoys working on his lathe as a retreat from his work as
a scientist. He makes bowls mostly for friends and family and
Carver Hill, a local apple orchard, using their apple wood.
In his latest endeavor, he has been partnering with Simply Apples to create bowls for housewarming gifts. If Tom ever gets a break from his Simply Apples work, he would like to teach his young daughters the joy of wood turning.

Featured Partner: Kaya's Kloset
Kaya's Kloset
shoes are made by Johanna Parker in the Boston area.
Like so many mom-run businesses, Kaya's Kloset shoes were born out of necessity! Even as an extremely sleepy newborn, Kaya could not keep socks on her little feet. Johanna started making these shoes for her, and then for friends' babies. A few custom orders turned into a business. And that business has partnered with Simply Apples.
Johanna now makes the shoes in eleven different sizes, from newborn up through man's size 13 shoe and they come in three general collections. There are the original, fun cotton shoes, sparkly "Disco" shoes, and hand painted organic cotton shoes. All can be ordered in whatever size and style you'd like, but the apple designs are a Simply Apples exclusive.
